Intellectual property

All content on this website falls under French and international intellectual property law. Text, images, photographs, and sound and video clips published on the website are protected by intellectual property rights and are the property of the Université Côte d’Azur.


Any reproduction for promotional or commercial purposes is forbidden. Print or digital reproduction of all or part of the site is authorized provided it is for personal use and conforms to the provisions of Article L122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code.

Digital reproduction of all or part of the site is authorized provided that the phrase “all rights reserved” and the source ( are added. However, this authorization does not apply to pornographic, xenophobic, or controversial websites, nor to those with views which a majority of people may find offensive. 

Print reproduction of all or part of the site is authorized provided that the: integrity of the data reproduced is respected (i.e. no alteration nor modification), material is freely available, and source website ( is explicitly cited with a note saying that rights of reproduction are reserved and strictly limited.

The violation of one of these usage rights constitutes an infringement of copyright and can involve the perpetrator’s civil and criminal liability.

Hypertext links

Any other website or digital medium is authorized to cite the website of the Université Côte d’Azur ( or to put a hypertext link to its homepage or any of its pages, provided that the pages containing these links to the Université Côte d’Azur’s portal are free and that reproduced documents are respected in their entirety.

The Université Côte d’Azur reserves the right to request the removal of a link, which it deems does not meet its editorial policy.

Insofar as the Université Côte d’Azur cannot control these external websites and sources, the existence of such hypertext links between the and third-party sites does not mean that the Université Côte d’Azur assumes any responsibility for their content or use.


During use of the site, cookies can be automatically installed and temporarily registered on users’ hard disks:

- The portal creates cookies for visitors to optimize server performance and navigation speed,

- The portal creates specific cookies for authenticated users,

- The use of third-party services (analytics, social networks, video platforms, etc.) results in the creation of cookies independent of the portal.

Cookies do not allow the user to be identified but serve to facilitate navigation on the site as well as registration procedures and audience analysis.

Users of the site can nevertheless deactivate the installation of cookies by modifying the settings on their navigation software.

Protection of personal data 

By virtue of the obligations of the law of 6 August 2004, dealing with the protection of individuals regarding the processing of personal data, personal information is strictly confidential and cannot be given to third-parties without users’ knowledge.

Data input on the site, especially by means of a contact form or for a newsletter are neither disclosed nor used for purposes not foreseen by the user of the site.
