The use of a common signature, i.e., the uniform listing of academic affiliations in research publications, is imperative: most notably, it will help ensure the recognition of Université Côte d’Azur by its peers and its presence in international rankings. The Université Côte d’Azur governance will be extremely vigilant concerning the use of the common signature, and will implement all necessary means to ensure that it is correctly applied.
Université Côte d’Azur has adopted a policy by which affiliations should be listed in descending order (from the most broadly encompassing structure to the smallest), and using a single-line presentation. These choices are perfectly in line with the modes of operation of the latest search engines.
While the order of the affiliations is not important in principle, Université Côte d’Azur has elected to use the following order:
The extended name of the laboratory and its different identifying numbers, as well as the complete address of the laboratory, should therefore be provided in a footnote, unless another format is imposed by the journal or publisher.
In addition to respecting the UCA scientific signature, publications and communications from projects financed in whole or in part by the IDEX UCAJEDI and/or by the EUR DS4H must bear one of the following entries:
All publications from Université Côte d’Azur laboratories, research teams, and other structures must be deposited in the HAL (Hyper Archive onLine) free open access research repository.
Depositing or submitting a research document to HAL requires you to register first.
Deposited publications must be linked to their funding projects (metadata field "Projet(s) ANR") as shown on pictures below:
