Visiting Researchers Scheme

The Academy Networks, Information, and Digital Society operates a Visiting Professors scheme to allow academics, researchers and practitioners to spend a period of time conducting research within one of the 12 Academy's labs on the SophiaTech Campus. These visits aim at livening up the scientific activity of the research teams, contributing to the international outreach of DS4H and facilitating collaborations with foreign partners.

General guidelines

  • Visiting Fellows may start at any time during the year, subject to agreement by the hosting laboratory. The applications must be approved by the coordination unit of the Academy Scientific Council.
  • The length of a visit would normally be between 15 days and one month, although requests for longer visits may be considered. Requests for shorter visits (less than 2 weeks) will not be considered.
  • The invitation of a PhD studying on the 3d year may be considered but the priority is given to the invitation of a professor/ researcher.
  • Financial support may be provided for travel and accommodation, but may not exceed 2500 € / month (1500 €/month for a PhD).
  • The Academy is able to make arrangements for living accommodation for your visitors via support of the UCA Welcome Center.

In order your request will be eligible, prospective host laboratory may provide :

  • a short text indicating the subject of the joint research, and the importance of the collaboration with the host team;
  • a CV with the list of publications or a web page of the guest professor;
