The Niçois fly community is happy to welcome you to
the 30th drosophila French Fly meeting, held from the 27th to the 30th of September 2016 in Grasse at the AEC village vacances “Les Cèdres”
This 4 days conference is organized every year and brings together 80-120 fly people from France but also all over Europe. It is a very open and lively meeting that mixes students and researchers at different stages of their career. Covered research topics span from cell and developmental biology to epigenetics and disease models. The 2016 edition will include sessions on cell biology and polarity, neurobiology, immunity, cell signalling, physiology and models for pathology.

Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline : 5th of september
Registration desk will open on Tuesday the 27th at 2.00 pm. Conference will start at 4.00 pm. Conference will end on Friday the 30th after lunch.
Leica LightSheet / SP8 demonstration
The Leica Company is going to demonstrate its SP8 / lightSheet system during the conference. There will be a free access to all participants to test their own samples (Download the preparation samples guide). Please register at your arrival if you are interested. Awards
Poster awards
Three awards will be given for the best posters. Prizes will be given to the students (both undergraduate and graduate) judged to have the best posters. Both scientific merit and clarity of visual presentation will be taken into account.
To be eligible, your poster must be displayed from September the 27th to September the 30th, 2016.
This competition is only open to students.
First price is sponsored by the French Society of Genetics (SFG)

How to come
By plane
From Nice Cote d’Azur airport, take public transport (bus line 500 from the airport/promenade bus stop) to the Grasse terminus.
From Grasse Bus Terminal, a hotel shuttle will be available (on request, 04 93 40 61 61) to reach the conference venue.
Alternatively, the venue is within walking distance (20min. downhill)
By train
From Grasse train station, a hotel shuttle will be available to reach the conference venue (on request, 04 93 40 61 61).
Alternatively, from Cannes train station, take bus line 600 to the Grasse terminus.
By car
From the highway A8, take the exit «Grasse/Mougins », then follow the road sign «Grasse centre » direction.
Once you have reached Grasse, there will 5 roundabouts:
« L’Alambic » follow Grasse centre
« Les quatre chemins » follow Grasse centre
« Les chasseurs alpins » follow Palais de justice
« Le sud » follow Magagnosc
« Ste Marthe » follow Magagnosc and the white and red road signs « V. Vacances Les Cèdres ».
