Many important and interesting problems in physics can be addressed by solving the Schroedinger equation with high accuracy for three- and four-body systems. It is therefore of particular importance to develop methods for precision calculation for such problems. For this purpose, we proposed Gaussian Expansion Method (GEM) in 1988 and has been applied to a variety of few-body systems. Here, I will review GEM and its application to 4He trimer and tetramer system. Furthermore, I will give a talk about recent progress of nuclear physics with strangeness quark.
