These European programmes mainly aim at giving the opportunity to citizens to acquire useful skills for their future job, to contribute to multilinguism and to European citizenship.
As it was built up to come within the scope of the ambitions of the 2020 Strategy which consists in a smart and inclusive growth, the Erasmus+ programme (in the education and training course section) gathers former Erasmus programmes (higher education), Comenius (School education), Leonardo da Vinci (professional training) and Grundtvig (adult education).
With a 40% growing budget, more than 500.000 French people and 4 millions of Europeans will possibly benefit from an individual mobility or a strategic partnership thanks to Erasmus+ by 2020.
