Objectives

The course called Master's Degree in Management and Business Administration (MAE) formerly Master's Degree specialised in Business Administration at the IAE is a fully-fedged Master's Degree training course which includes several "dual skill" courses.
This MAE course is intended for students who have not studied management (engineers, scientists, legal experts, economists, students who graduated from medicine and paramedic, sociologists and psychologists, architects, people who studied literature...) who already completed a 1st year or 2nd year of Master's degree training course.

The objectives are:
In a scientific point of view, graduate students are trained to the different managerial approaches and must show their ability to analyse management situations. 
At a professional level, students are able to apply the academic knowledge they acquired in all fields of management sciences to the subject of their initial training course. The acquisition of this dual skill facilitates their occupational integration and their ascent within their company's hierarchy.

This MAE Social Action, Intervention, Training and Integration course in partnership with the IFCS is dedicated to students in continuing education. It is specifically aimed at students willing to become educational executives in professional schools in the healthcare sector or in the social care sector and then to become managers of these same structures.
It provides its future executives with the relational, social and group working skills they need and especially with Human Resources management skills, but also skills in conflict management, management, communication techniques, marketing, team management, management of the customer/patient relations and in the setting-up of planning management softwares, etc...

The advantages of the training course

  • Many lessons are given by using a reversed and innovative teaching method based on the carrying out of projects, the use of case studies, of business simulation games or even of on role plays (coeducational teaching 20% in the field/80% in distance learning)
  • A reading and preparation programme is sent to students as soon as they have registered and must be done by the start of the training course. An educational executive can accompany them during their whole training course.
  • The training course is organised in two or four semesters. During the 1st semester or the 1st year, students acquire the fundamental knowledge in management and a 2nd semester or a second year is dedicated to the acquisition of business running tools, management of organisation and to specialisations.
  • Students attending the training course called Healthcare Executive Degree (HED) can validate the MAE Master's Degree in Supervision of Healthcare and Social Institutions called Social Action, Intervention, Training and Integration.

Skills

This training course is based on scientific skills (in psychology, sociology, social history, law, economics and management), on methods (intervention projects, assessment, research projects) and on organisational skills (communication strategies, human resources management...). 

It is focused on a dual skill. It is focused on both skills of professionals from the healthcare and the social sector and those of managers, administrators and economists working in this business sector which are gathered in one single training course. It is about enabling all stakeholders working in these institutions to communicate together. 

It aims at:

  • developing skills in training engineering and in adult education in the healthcare and social care sector. 
  • developing skills in 
designing and assessing expertise in the 
social work sector. 
  • training executives specialised in designing, 
setting-up and assessing intervention and prevention projects for children, teenagers or adults with social integration and adaptation difficulties. 

  • developing a specific expertise related to the people's issue and the construction of the project, in its ethic dimension. 

  • mastering the management methods in order to support the initiatives and to develop projects and to manage them.
