Mattia Guerini is assistant professor in econometrics at the department of economics and management at the University of Brescia. He has obtained the PhD at the Sant'Anna School for Advanced Studies in Pisa. He has then served as a post-doctorate for the OFCE-SciencesPo. He obtained a Marie Sklodowska-Curie scholarship and carried out is research at GREDEG, Universtity Côte d'Azur for two years. His research is at the intersection between macroeconomics, industry dynamics and monetary economics. In particular he studies how credit markets might impact economic growth, market concentration and technological progress. He carries out his research combining econometric techniques and agent-based computational economic models. In particular his expertise resides in the validation and calibration of agent-based models.
